Salawin National Park (Nam Kong river basin) consists of a complex mountain range which is a part of Thanon Thongchai mountain range, located at 200 - 1,027 meters above the sea level. The highest pack is located to the north and is rich in abundant forest which is the headwater of many important rivers, for example, Yom River, Salawin River, Kong Kha River, Mae Ngae River, and Han River.
