1. Phu Phrabat Historical Park

2. Si Satchanalai Historical Park

Si Satchanalai Historical Park takes visitors to learn about the tale of one of Thailand’s oldest cities. Si Satchanalai existed during the prehistoric era (9 B.E.) and has been developed into Contemporary Dvaravati Community in the present. Historical relics were discovered at Wat Phra Borommathat Mueang Chaliang which ascertained Si Satchanalai as another important city similar to Sukhothai. However, the city was abandoned during the second defeat of Krung Sri Ayutthaya. Later on, archaeologist discovered 281 archaeological sites and relics within the territory of Si Satchanalai and its old walls. 3. Mueang Sing Historical Park

Kanchanaburi is one of the regions in Thailand rich in historical sites, one of which is the ancient stone castle “Prasat Mueang Sing”. The ancient castle was built as a Buddhism site (Mahayana branch) in King Jayavarman VII era, also known as the Stone Castle Builder of Khom. Mueang Sing Historical Park’s important relics are a Buddha image in the form of mediation under the Naga, Goddess Pratya Paramita, and Bodhisattva Padmapani; all of which are sculptures inspired by Khmer style. 4. Sadok Kok Thom Historical Park

Located in Sa Kaeo province, historians estimate that Prasat Sadok Kok Thom was built during the 15th – 16th B.E. by laterite rock. It is the largest and most well-known historical site in Sa Kaeo. The stone castle was built in Khom’s Baphuon Style. Archaeologists have discovered Sanskrit stone inscription which defines “Sadok Kok Thom” in two meanings: 1) A city full of papyrus and 2) A large castle surrounded by papyrus. After exploring the grand historical park, you can visit other interesting tourist destinations such as Pang Sida National Park, Pang Sida Waterfall, and Skywalk at Khao Singto Temple.

5. Phra Nakhon Kiri Historical Park

Phetchaburi is known for many uniquely beautiful tourist destinations. One of the most recommended destinations is Khao Wang in Phra Nakhon Kiri Historical Park. The summer palace was built during King Rama V era in a mixed style consisting of Thai, Chinese, and European architecture. The highlights of the historical park are Leela Chedi Daeng, Wechyan Wichian Prasat Throne Hall, and Santhakar Palaces which consist of various smaller palaces; each with its own charm.
